Abstract

This paper is intended to investigate the role of multiple literacies especially in education for empowering the students‟ skill in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 or in the 21st century. This paper also seeks to find out teachers‟ responses toward the strategies whether they are effective or not. This paper employs descriptive analysis study aiming to collect relevant documents which are journal articles related to multiple literacies. It is found that there are 27 strategies used to embed multiple literacies in education. The 27 strategies are obtained from 5 research articles. Questionnaire is also administered to 20 teachers to find out teachers‟ judgment towards the strategies. The result shows that 44 % participants agree that the 27 strategies are very effective and 34%participants believe the strategies are effective. It proves that the 27 strategies are helpful to embed multiple literacies in education in order to prepare students for industrial revolution 4.0
