Abstract

Since Covid-19 started in 2019, the world has changed a lot, especially in the education sector. As a result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. Online learning sessions are a way of coping with COVID-19 without compromising the teaching and learning sessions. In polytechnics, online teaching and learning sessions also became a popular option for conducting classes due to Covid-19. Massive choice of online applications and reliable online platforms help in providing options for lecturers in choosing the suitable tools for online teaching and learning sessions during Covid-19. Google Sites has become one of the alternatives that can be used by all educators to carry out teaching and learning sessions. Thus, this paper explores students’ perceptions toward Google Sites for the DUE50032 subject. Data were collected from 66 students taking DUE50032 subjects in a selected polytechnic in Melaka, Malaysia. An online questionnaire was given to the respondents and data obtained were then analysed. The findings showed that the students perceived Google Site for the DUE50032 subject as easy to use and useful for learning. The result of this study is hoped to enlighten the institutions, especially the educators in using technology effectively to create a practical
learning environment.
