Developing Online Self-Access Learning Material Using H5P to ImproveThe English Competence of International Students

Abstract

The International Class program at Politeknik Negeri Malang offers students the opportunity to study their field while enhancing English skills and gaining international exposure. However, a standardized online exam system for local and foreign students is lacking. This research develops an Online Self-Access Learning Material (OSALM) system using H5P technology, featuring interactive elements for efficient task completion and feedback. Employing a Research & Development approach, data were collected through surveys, interviews, and testing. Results show H5P-enhanced LMS effectively supports independent English learning but requires improvement in usability,
technical features, and content design to better meet students' specific needs.
