DEVELOPING A BILINGUAL E-GUIDEBOOK OF MOJOKERTO CITY FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF MOJOKERTO CITY

Indonesia’s rich natural beauty and cultural diversity make it a promising tourism destination, with Mojokerto City in East Java showing significant potential to attract both local and foreign tourists. This study aimed to develop a bilingual e-guidebook to effectively showcase Mojokerto City’s tourism assets and provide accurate, engaging information for diverse visitors. This study used a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected through observations and questionnaires to identify the needs and content for the bilingual e-guidebook. It was designed in A5 format using Canva, incorporating detailed descriptions, images, and travel tips about local attractions, culinary specialties, accommodations, and souvenir shops. Validation by language and design experts confirmed the guidebook’s quality, with field-testing indicating high feasibility and usability. The final product is a comprehensive 75-pages of bilingual e-guidebook in Bahasa Indonesia and English, aimed at improving information accessibility for tourists with different language backgrounds. This bilingual e-guidebook serves as a practical resource to enhance tourism experience and support the development of Mojokerto City as a notable travel destination in East Java, Indonesia.
