DEVELOPING A BILINGUAL E-GUIDEBOOK FOR TOYOMARTO’S TOURISM PROMOTION

Abstract

Toyomarto Tourism Village, located in Singosari Subdistrict, Malang Regency, offers various tourist attractions such as natural, cultural, historical, educational, MSME products, and traditional ceremonies. However, there is a lack of easily accessible information media. Therefore, this research aims to develop a bilingual e-guidebook to provide complete and easily accessible information for local and international tourists. This research utilizes the Design and Development Research method, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Then, to obtain different perspectives, the writer has the foreign respondents. The product was validated by language, content, and design experts before implementation.

The result is a bilingual e-guidebook entitled “Toyomarto Tourism Village Bilingual E-Guidebook” written in Indonesian and English. The e-guidebook contains complete information on tourist attractions, local products, traditional ceremonies, and tour packages. The field test results showed a positive response, with an average score of 4 out of 5. This e-guidebook is expected to improve the travel experience and become a reliable medium for tourists exploring Toyomarto Tourism Village.
