Abstract

Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is the digital language learning landscape which involves online learning experience including webinars. This platform enables all participants to involve with a real time audio and video materials by the flexibility of location and time management. Besides that, the ability to watch recorded audio and video materials after each session ends will enhance participants’ understanding on the subject matter. English Language Unit at Politeknik Merlimau (PMM), Melaka has taken one step ahead to utilize this facility as part of the language teaching medium by organizing webinars regarding resume and cover letter subtopics within Communicative English 3 (DUE50032) subject. The BOSS-CARRD principle of Lean Management was used as the methodology of this practice. The V.E.M.O factors were extracted from BOSS-CARRD principle which resulted to positive results of The Course Outcome Review Report (CORR) and the number of participants involved for the webinars. It is proposed that this best practice should be continued in order to enhance English Language learning experience and maintain good grades among PMM students. Nevertheless, the organizer should improve on the overall students’ attendance so that more parties will gain benefits from this webinar programme.
